FoxSeal Chest Seal
Compact, reliable, and mission-ready chest seal for treating open chest wounds.
The FoxSeal Chest Seal is a high-performance, occlusive dressing designed for the emergency treatment of open chest wounds, including penetrating trauma to the torso. Built for military, EMS, and tactical environments, FoxSeal provides immediate, reliable sealing to help prevent tension pneumothorax — one of the leading causes of preventable combat and trauma deaths.
What is FoxSeal Chest Seal?
FoxSeal is a compact, lightweight, adhesive occlusive dressing used to cover and seal open chest wounds. Designed for extreme conditions, it maintains adhesion on wet, sweaty, or bloody skin, making it ideal for pre-hospital and field use. Its compact packaging fits easily into medical kits without sacrificing coverage area.
Key Features
Strong medical-grade adhesive ensures a secure seal even in harsh conditions
Compact and lightweight — fits easily into IFAKs, trauma kits, and combat pouches
Two seals per pack allow treatment of both entry and exit wounds
Re-sealable design enables quick repositioning if required
Low-profile packaging ideal for military, police, EMS, and rescue teams
Works on wet and contaminated skin
Air-occlusive barrier helps prevent the development of tension pneumothorax
When to Use FoxSeal
FoxSeal Chest Seal is indicated for:
Open chest wounds
Penetrating trauma (stab, gunshot, shrapnel)
Sucking chest wounds
Field and pre-hospital emergency care
Tactical combat casualty care (TCCC)
Civilian trauma response, EMS, and disaster kits
How It Works
The seal forms a strong occlusive barrier over an open chest wound, preventing air from entering the pleural space. This helps stabilize breathing, reduce the risk of tension pneumothorax, and improve survival until professional medical care is available.
How to Apply
Expose the wound and wipe away excess blood or debris if possible.
Remove the FoxSeal from its packaging.
Peel off the backing to expose the adhesive surface.
Apply directly over the wound, ensuring an airtight seal.
Repeat for exit wounds if required (two seals included).
Continuously monitor the casualty and prepare for evacuation.
